Hailing from Japan, striker Megumi Nakamura is on her way to Halifax! A talented forward ready to bring her energy and passion to our club. Megu joins us from AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies, one of Japan’s top football clubs, where she honed her skills and gained invaluable experience in the Nadeshiko League.

Megumi’s soccer journey started at home, where her two older brothers inspired her to pick up the game—kicking off the passion that’s been driving her ever since. Their influence continues to motivate her as she pushes herself on the pitch, and it’s that same drive and work ethic she’s bringing to Halifax.

Known for her hard-working style, Megu combines impressive goal-scoring instincts with a knack for hold-up play, making her a versatile attacker who can impact the game in multiple ways. She has also represented Japan at various levels, playing for the Youth National Teams all the way through to the U20, where she competed against the best young talents in the world.

We’re thrilled to see how Megumi will shine on Halifax pitch and help lead our offence in the upcoming season.
