Syd Kennedy, a dynamic and skilled winger, has signed with Halifax Tides FC, bringing her talent back home to Nova Scotia. With a career that spans across collegiate, national, and international competition, Syd is no stranger to success, and we can’t wait to see her in action at the Wanderers Grounds for our inaugural season!

Syd’s journey began with the U15 Canadian National Team, where she scored 6 goals and earned a silver medal at the CONCACAF Championship, ranking among the top three Canadian goal-scorers in the tournament. In 2017, she scored the game-winning goal at the Canada Summer Games, securing Nova Scotia’s first women’s medal since 1993.

At the collegiate level, Syd shined at the University of Florida, where she was named captain and won the Florida Women’s Soccer Team Leadership Award in 2023. She later went to Acadia University, where she earned USports All-Canadian honours and shared Co-MVP accolades, alongside being named to the AUS First Team.

In 2024, Syd dominated the Nova Scotia Women’s Soccer League as the top scorer, showcasing that her offensive prowess remains as formidable as ever. Now, she’s ready to bring her leadership and goal-scoring ability to Halifax Tides FC.

Welcome to the club, Syd!
